The first noise you heard was a hiss, as the pressure released from your chamber. Your eyes fluttered for a moment before they opened, and the chamber was slowly elevated. You took in your first breath since... well, presumably 18 months ago, but you didn't know.
"Welcome back, Commander Patterson." the computer stated, though it's words were muffled as your ears readjusted to the ship's pressure.
You flexed your fingers and toes as the feeling in your body returned and you were able to stand yourself up. Your name is Cameron Messell, technician on a manned spaceflight to the Omega Colony. It was an honor to be selected for the mission, and even more of an honor to be working under one of the most decorated commanders in the fleet, Jeanne Patterson.
"Please make your way to the next room for revival procedures."
You stepped out of the chamber. It took a few moments to get used to the artificial gravity, but you did, and started walking towards the door. When you stepped through the door, the door shut behind you, leaving you separated from the other chambers, and you looked around.
You were inside a bathroom. There was a conveyor belt with a shower leading out into the next set of rooms. You walked onto the first part of the conveyor and stood.
Suddenly, several robotic arms came snaking out of the wall. A typical design for a hypersleep revival unit.
"Are you ready?" the computer asked.
"Yes." you replied.
The conveyor belt started moving and you braced yourself. You was still a little out of it from the hypersleep. The first stop was the sonic shower. You were "sprayed" with a sonic pulse that was eliminating all dirt and grime that had grown onto your body while you were in the chamber. Before leaving, you were able to program in a scent for the sonic shower, the one you picked was "Rugged", but you vaguely noticed that this sonic shower had a distinct flowery scent.
You shrugged it off and continued standing as the conveyor moved into the next room where...
