She was only in her Zero Suit, a bad sign, although better than being nude. She had come to this god forsaken rock of a planet because she had picked up a distress signal. When she had landed, she had instead been confronted by a large swarm of metroids. While watching some of them fuss over a cobbled together transmitter another metroid had hovered up to her. To her surprise it started speaking Common, albeit at a rate too fast for her to understand. All she had caught was the words "our queen" before something hit her hard enough to knock her out even with her Power Suit on.
Samus put her hand down next to her, and to her surprise it sank lower. Samus looked around and saw that she was on a large bed, inside a bedroom that was fit only for royalty, or special guests. A bright light was emanating from the door at the front of the room. The light grew brighter and brighter until it was nearly blinding. Then, with a thunderous roar, the door burst open. Through the glow Samus could just make out a humanoid figure. The figure had a body shape that was like Samus's, but more voluptuous. Then the light abruptly faded, and Samus saw that the woman's skin had the same color patterns and translucency as a metroid. Other than that, her small potbelly, and larger curves, the being was identical to Samus, all the way down to facial features. This worried Samus, because she had fought doppelgangers before, and none of those fights had been pretty.
"My, my," the being said to herself, "I never would have thought that we would be so alike."
"Who are you, and why did you kidnap me?" asked Samus."
"I am Stellestria," the woman answered with a voice that rang with power and divinity, "creator, and goddess of the metroids."
Samus was now thoroughly afraid, for she had no reason to doubt the being's claim to divinity. After all, the metroids that had taken her were supposed to be extinct by her hand.
"As for why I brought you here, you have been the scourge of my creations for years, and I have devised a fitting solution," finished the goddess.
"So how are you going to kill me?" asked Samus.
"That thought had occurred to me," said Stellestria, "but I have a much better idea than merely killing you."
"Then what kind of horrible torture am I looking at?" asked Samus, now feeling very hopeless about her situation.
"None," answered Stellestria, "I have decided that since you were my creation's greatest bane, you shall become their greatest progenitor."
"What do you mean by that?" questioned Samus.
"I am going to make you into a metroid queen," answered Stellestria.
"That's ridiculous," Samus shouted, "even if I wanted to, I couldn't birth a metroid to save my life."
"You have the proper DNA to do so," said Stellestria, "And deep down, you have always wanted something better than being a simple bounty hunter, no matter how great. I'm going to give you that."
Samus wanted to say no, but the metroid part of her was calling out to its goddess, and Samus had no strength to resist it. She didn't even need to say yes, Stellestria could tell from her eyes that her will had broken.
"How do I birth a metroid?" asked Samus.
A metroid is created from a being's aura," Stellestria answered, "aura is replenished in two ways, which are consuming vast amounts of food, or absorbing power from nearby energy sources. A metroid queen must constantly gorge on food and energy so that she creates more aura than she uses to birth metroids. As a direct result of this, a metroid queen grows fatter every day of their life, unless they create very large quantities at once. I am only this thin because of the swarm I made to bring you here. I will grow gloriously vast alongside you."
Stunned by the description of her new life, Samus couldn't do anything but wordlessly follow Stellestria as the goddess left the room. After walking for a few minutes, they came upon a door sealed by Stellestria's godly magic. Stellestria unsealed the door to reveal ...
