Stay with Alex (she somehow ends up naked too)

Claire set off through the park. Alex gave her a few seconds for a head start, then followed.

Claire would go a few yards, or a few dozen yards, then duck behind a tree and wait a while to make sure no one knew she was there. Alex was worried about keeping Claire in sight, but not getting close enough that Claire knew she was there, and also about not making any noise. She wasn't worried about the branches that brushed against her body.

She might have worried if she had known that just that morning, after she had gone to work, Claire, who had dreamed up an excuse for leaving for work late, had slipped into her bedroom and loosed the seams on her pajama top and pants with a stitch ripper and a sewing needle, then put them back where Alex had left them. It was part of Claire's revenge, ironically enough, for the last time Alex had stripped her after a naked run.

So intent on following Claire was Alex that she didn't realize that the branches had caught both her t-shirt and her pants, and the loosened threads had given way, tearing both halves of her pajamas neatly off, leaving her as naked as Claire was now.
