"I'm in a strange world, high above the clouds, with winged people," trying to convince herself it was a dream, Tyra said. "and, of course, they speak English."

Myrrh giggled. "We speak all of Earth's languages, Tyra." amused, she replied. "I am merely speaking English to accommodate you. Our language is much different."

"Is she awake, Myrrh?" softly, a new voice asked. "I wish to meet my new granddaughter."

"She is a bit shy, mother." smiling, Myrrh replied to a tall woman stepping into the room. "Let me dress her first."

Tyra blushed brightly seeing the woman she guessed was Minerva enter. She was a near perfect replica of Myrrh in a stunning Victorian era dress and a beautiful silver crown on her head. Seeing Tyra blush, she giggled.

"We are all girls here, Tyra." smiling, Minerva said, kindly. "You have nothing I have not already seen before."

Tyra sighed, feeling something move over her wings then felt her wings moving through it as if being pushed through a sleeve before turning to the mirror to see herself wearing a silk white blouse, which went very nicely with her skirt. Only, as she looked at the blouse more closely, she saw no openings for her wings. Confused, she turned to Myrrh, causing her and Minerva to giggle slightly.

"It's called liquid fabric." smiling, Myrrh explained. "It is much like silk only it becomes like a heavy liquid when offered resistance to allow passage for your wings then, when no resistance is offered, it becomes solid again, giving your wing roots the warmth they need."

"Wing roots?" asked Tyra.

"Where your wings meet your back." simply, Minerva replied. "With liquid fabric, we can make any style clothing we wish without any concern for our wings."

"That makes sense." smiling, Tyra said. "You must be Minerva."

"Grandma, if you please." patiently, Minerva corrected. "I understand that all of this is a shock but please show respect."

Tyra blushed. "Sorry... grandma."

Minerva smiled. "It will take you some time to adjust to your new world." kindly, she said. "Don't rush anything, you have all the time in the world."

"Um... If you are queen, does that make me a princess?" curious, Tyra asked.

Myrrh nodded. "Yes, it makes us both a princess, Tyra." looking at me, Myrrh replied. "However, that does not give us the right to boss anyone around." wincing, she added, "I learned that the hard way when I was ten."

"Enough chatter." with a wave of her hand, Minerva said. "I think Tyra would like to see her new home."

"I- I don't know if I can fly." blushing, Tyra said. "I never had wings before."

"That will come with time, my dear." kindly, Minerva said. "For now, we'll carry you."

Then, a thought came to Tyra and she turned to Myrrh. "What of my family back home?" worried, she asked. "They will be worried about me..."

"They know you are alive and safe." patiently, Minerva replied. "When it became obvious that we had to change you to save your life, I set events into motion that placed your family at ease."

"How?" confused, Tyra asked.

"It's a bit complicated to explain." sighing, Minerva said. "Simply put, I magically placed a suggestion into the minds of your family that you had moved out long ago and is doing well in parts unknown."

"It's better than allowing them to think you are dead or worse, not knowing." with a sad smile, Myrrh added. "You are alive, doing well, and in parts unknown to them so none of it is a lie."

"I guess that makes sense." sighing, Tyra said.

"Ready to see your new world, my granddaughter?" offering her hand, Minerva asked.

Tyra shyly nodded and accepted Minerva's hand.
