"H-Hinata, I don't have enough m-money to afford eating there, l-et alone the both of us. C-could you pay for our dinner there?" stuttered Naruto as he unconsciously poked his fingers together like Hinata did so long ago.
Hinata turned around and was pleased to see Naruto do another of her old habits. This made her think of another idea to embarrass Naruto.
"Sure, Naruto. I'll pay for dinner" replied Hinata as she walked towards Naruto. She was pleased to see Naruto blush again as she got closer. As soon as she was close enough, she yanked off his forehead protector and said "On second thought, maybe now isn't the best time. You seem to have a fever." Hinata then put her hand on Naruto's forehead, memories of Naruto doing this when he thought she had a fever due to her blushing coming back to her.
"I-I'm fine, Hinata. I d-don't have a fever" said Naruto.
"If you say so, Naruto. I'll just hold on to your forehead protector for now, however, so if I need to see if you have a fever again, it'll be easier to check", said Hinata as she put Naruto's forehead protector in her pocket and turned back towards the restaurant.
Soon enough, they were at the restaurant, which was a high class restaurant that served high quality foods.
"Yum! I think I'll have some barbecue, Hinata. What about you?" For once not stuttering.
"I think I'll have chili and barbecue", said Hinata, disappointed at Naruto speaking correctly. She then decided to correct that by reaching for his hand and holding it. This got Naruto's attention and he started to blush.
"Oh dear, Naruto!" exclaimed Hinata. "Your face is all red again. Are you sure you're not catching a fever?" asked Hinata as she pulled her hand away and put it on his forehead.
"I-I'm fine, H-Hinata. Maybe it's just hot in here."
"Maybe" said Hinata with a smile, enjoying her little game of checking for fevers whenever he blushed.
Soon the waiter came by for take their orders.
"I'll have a bowl of chili and a big order of barbecue and he'll have a big salad with a huge helping of vegetables," replied Hinata.
"H-Hinata, that's-" said Naruto as he felt Hinata kick him and give him a glare. He gulped at the glare.
"Will that be all, miss?" asked the waiter.
"That'll do it. Thank you", replied Hinata.
"B-but I th-thought I was getting barbecue?" asked Naruto.
"Are you paying, Naruto?"
"N-no, I told you-"
"That's right. And since I'm paying, I'll decide what you'll be eating. It's only fair. Right, Naruto?"
"R-right, Hinata. "I-I'm sorry."
"That's okay. I'm going to the bathroom so I'll be right back." said Hinata. She bent down and gave Naruto a kiss on the cheek. "Please try and cool yourself down while I'm gone, Naruto" said Hinata with a teasing smile as she left for the bathroom.
