"Are you ok Naruto?" Tsunade had to ask again, he was behaving so.. unlike him recently
"Y-yes Lady Tsunade" Naruto said respectfully, with a bit of a stutter and even blushing a bit. He knew he didn't feel like himself recently, since that encounter with Hinata where he was in awe at how much she had developed as a person and how inadequate this made him feel in a way. Since then, all the doubts on his mind remained there despite his best efforts to solve them or plainly ignore them, and now that inner lack of confidence was beginning to become more visible
"Let's stop for now, you should get a rest or something" Tsunade here with a grave tone scratching her head. Naruto looked fine, but it was eerie having the powerful, charismatic and knucklehead ninja acting so subdued. It was so weird she couldn't even enjoy being called Lady Tsunade at long last instead of Baa-chan

Naruto walked aimlessly on the village, trying to unsuccessfully sort out his thoughts for another day. Everything was going well, except for the usual comment from Tsunade about his lack of tact and how he couldn't just say the first thing that came to his mind when he was Hokage, so why was he having so many doubts now? He kept wondering if despite his power he really was the best suited person for the leader position now, instead of feeling the excitement and fire of being so close to achieving his dream.
He also forgot about Hinata's confession and promise of a date, in fact he was actively avoiding thinking about her because it led him to the uncomfortable thought that someone sensible and confident like her could probably be better for the village as Hokage, and wouldn't he prefer what was best for the village? The moment he saw her walking with Kiba far away he went off the main road and hid behind a tree, feeling how it was a strange role reversal from their days as teens where Hinata was the one hiding.
And to complete the role reversal, instead of the loud and headstrong shinobi leading the conversation he seemed to be happy letting Hinata lead the way, walking a couple ofsteps behind her as he quietly listened to her explain something about some sort of product her clan was developing and could help him grow stronger. This only enhanced Naruto's doubts, he wondered if someone like Kiba would willingly follow and listen to him in such a natural way, or if he would be able to bring the best of his fellow shinobi like Hinata seemed to be focusing on
Once they continued walking away Naruto sighed and went back to his random walk, now only with more doubts instead of any answers
