you wake up ready for tomorrow

The next morning, you woke up refreshed as you head for Professor Oak's place to get you first Pokemon to start a new journey. But what was different this time around was that Professors Elm, Birch, Rowen, and Juniper were there as well. Professor Oak then explains that they wanted to try a new experiment where I chose a starter from each region as a partner. You eagerly accept the fact that your getting five partners at one. For the Kanto starter, who do you chose?
