"Its not as easy as you would think. You see the princess is a very independent person and hates having a guard on her. Because of this we have had 10 guards request a transfer this month. She constantly tries to run away from them or persuade them to leave her. Were not exactly sure how, the guards refused to talk about it, but she has gotten very good at it. Hopefully you have the skills and the wits to outsmart her and protect her" The Capitan explains to you as you walk down the street to the palace. You enter a door and are now standing in a large hallway. "Oh yea if you lose the princess, you will be sentenced to 2 hours in the stocks. Because you are a town guard the punishment will not be very severe and the town will go easy on you but you must be put in them all the same"
"Well hopefully it will not come to that" you tell him.
He leads you into a large room at the end of the hallway and you see the princess sitting on a throne across the room.
"Your Highness this is Knight, your new protector" the Capitan introduces you. She dismisses the Capitan and he leaves the room.
"What makes you think that you are worthy to protect me. I have outwitted or persuaded every single guard that the Capitan has thrown at me. I don't need a protector and would most likely do better protecting myself than you ever would" she tells you.
"With all do respect I think that I am more than capable to do the job. I have been protecting royal families all of my life without a singe incident"
"Well see" she says with a menacing grin on her face.
