Chris stood in front of the mirror, looking at his reflection. He had stripped himself down so he wore only a pair of underwear, because he wanted to see all that was going to happen.
It started that afternoon after school. He was on his way home when he decided to take a detour through the field. As he was in the middle of it, suddenly something shot out of the sky and crashed into the ground, kicking up dirt and dust. Surprised, Chris fell backwards, landing on his butt. When the dust settled, he saw something odd and out of this world. In a tiny crater no bigger than a mixing bowl was what looked like a blob of green slime. Not knowing where it came from, or what it was, his curiosity got the better of him as he crawled up to it and poked it.
Suddenly the blob came alive and shot out, moving rapidly up his arm. Chris gave a cry and tried to shake it off, but it clung to him and crawled all the way up his arm, to his head and shot into his mouth. Chris gagged as the blob forced it's way down his throat, and within moments it completely disappeared.
"Wh-what was that?" He gasped. Was it something dangerous? Was he going to die?
You're not going to die. A voice said clearly in his head.
Chris jumped. "Wh-who said that?"
I did...or more specifically, the substance that you refered to as 'slime.' The voice said once more in his head, though it said the word 'slime' distastefully.
"What? That's-"
Impossible? Hardly. The voice finished for him. According to your memories, there are species on this planet that have gelatinous properties....like the jellyfish. I am simply a more evolved version with increased intelligence and capabilities.
This was a lot for Chris at once. "Where did you come from, and why did you make me eat you?"
I come from a distant star system, from a planet that had unfortunately suffered unstable seismac acti... The voice paused, reassessing Chris's state of mind. I am an alien from outer space, and got shot here when my planet blew up. It simplified.
"You're a real alien?" Chris's eyes went wide.
Yes, I am. The voice said patiently. And as for the reason I, er, made you eat me, I am a symbiote, a creature that needs a host body...someone to live inside. See, out in space I was locked in a cryostatis shell that broke open upon entering your atmosphere... It paused once again. Er, that is to say, on Earth I need to live inside you, otherwise I'd die pretty easily.
"Oh...well, if you really need to, you can stay inside my body...it's not much, but it's all I got."
Don't put yourself down too much, this body is actually quite compatible with me. Your unique genetics is ideal for my enhancements. The voice told him.
"Enhancements?" Chris cocked his head to the side. "Like what?"
I can modify and enhance your musculature and skeletal system at will. To put simply, I can make you...what's this term in your head, 'Hulk out?'
"Really!?" Chris's eyes went wide, but this time with excitement.
Yes, it's rather amazing how compatible your body is with my capabilities. I suspect that we can...how you say it, make your brother look like a puny wimp?
"Oh, nothing would make me happier." Chris grinned wickedly.
Afterwards Chris patiently waited until he was home and alone in the privacy of his room before he tried it out. He wanted to do it in front of Nate right away, but he decided to wait and test it out first, then show Nate.
"Ok, I'm ready." Chris said out loud to the symbiote.
Very well, here we go!
