On a pleasantly sunny day, out on an open grassy field, Tails stood leaning over a table filled with tools.
Next to him was the machine he's spent the last week building, at the request of a certain busty bat who had delivered its blueprints to him.
The machine was a small handheld device resembling a ray gun.
When used it would send out waves of energy that could be absorbed into the body of whoever stood close to its waves when they were fired.
Pretty advanced stuff.
But Tails was happy to take on the challenge of building it.
And after a weeks worth of work, as Tails crossed a few wires at the side of the machine next to it's wave-intensity modulator and flux harmonicators, it was all done.
He put down the wiring tool and held up his finished hourglass-gun.
It was fit his grip nicely, and he could easily toggle its controls with his free hand.
Tails pulled out his communicator to tell Rouge the good news.
At hearing this, Rouge was overjoyed and excitedly told Tails that'd she fly over to him as soon as she could.
