Chapter #5

The Realization

As you come to and everything comes into focus, you find yourself laying in a large grassy field. You

prop yourself up and try to gain your bearings but something just doesn't feel right. You look at your

hands and notice that you are now wearing gloves, but that's not it. Your hands are a lot bigger than

they were before. You look down and see that the same thing has happened to your feet, they're huge.

You start to freak out a little and notice that there's a pond close by. You crawl frantically to it to look at

your reflection and what you see shocks you to your core. You're a four foot tall, blonde furred, blue

eyed hedgehog! You stagger away from the pond and fall flat on your but stammering. “H-how can this

be possible”! You exclaim. “I'M A GODDAMN FURBALL”! You shout as you flop onto the ground.

You start breathing in and out deeply to calm your nerves. “Okay, I'm a hedgehog. Nothing I can do

about it at the moment” You say standing back up. “First thing I need to do is try to find some form of

civilization....and hopefully find some way to reverse this”. You begin walking only to trip and fall over

your pant legs that are now way too long for you. You look at your clothes and realize that they are far

too big and baggy for you. “Well this isn't going to work” you say. You rip the sleeves of your top and

rip the pant legs from your pants to match your new height. As you toss away your shreds of discarded

clothing you see your tote bag with all your gear in it. 'Oh sweet' you think to yourself as you reach into

your tote and grab your ninja-to (ninja sword) and tie it to your waist. You then grab the tote and throw

it over your shoulder. “Now to find some help” you say as you begin your trek. You walk and walk for

what seems like hours. 'God, it feels like I'm a hamster on wheel here' you think. 'I know if I go at a

faster pace I'll make better progress, but if I run and exhaust all my energy without finding any help I'll

be in serious trouble....What should I do'? You think.
