It was another Monday night when Bethany Singer was lounging about in her empty home in her pajamas. With a bag of crisps in her hand, Bethany was sat on the sofa while speaking to her girlfriend, Samantha Fry, over the phone.
"You won't believe the day that I've had," Bethany continued over the phone, "I'm glad that it's finally over!"
"Really?" Samantha asked, "What happened babe?"
"Well, first of all, you know that I had that job interview this morning?"
"Yeah?"
"Well they denied me."
"Oh no! Why?"
"They felt that I wouldn't do a satisfactory job!"
"That's ridiculous!"
"I know! And then it got worse! Guess who I ran into on my way home."
"Who?"
"Alexandra Hughes. You remember her?"
"No. Who is she?"
Bethany sighed. "I went to college with her last year. She was very hot and popular, but she was like a total cow to me! She would have called me names and made fun of me for my weight and having a relationship with another girl."
"She sounds horrible!"
"I know!"
"So what did she say to you?"
"She totally made fun of me again! In front of her friends! She called me fat!"
"That's horrid!"
"I was so embarrassed! I wanted to hit her so much! But all I could do was ignore her!"
"Don't worry babe. I hope that she gets what she deserves!"
"Thanks Sammy. I love you."
"I love you too honey!"
Bethany and Samantha blew kisses to each other over the phone.
"How about that I pop over in the morning and we can spend the entire day with each other," Samantha said in an effort to comfort her lover, "Just you and me. I'll make you feel much better."
"Thanks. That will be nice."
"Great. I have to go now. I'll see you tomorrow. Goodnight babe!"
"Goodnight sweetie!"
Bethany hung up the phone and hid it away. After finishing her crisps, she threw the packet in the bin and made her way to bed. As she laid in her bed however, she could hear the voice of Alexandra in her head, but she hardly took any notice, believing it to be just a dream. As she closed her eyes and went to sleep, something happened. She thought that it was all a dream, however she was in for a surprise when she woke up the following morning.
