Chapter #4
Servent.
by: Unknown
Your father calls the carriage round, and soon after breakfast you are moving steadily off towards the town. You look out the window at the passing houses, so small when compared to the castle, and the people, who look so different. They wear coarser, tougher clothes of fabrics you are not used to, with your sheltered, comfortable life.
Your thoughts wander to your sister, your real sister, long lost now. You wish you could see her. What would she be like?
The carriage pulls up to the market square. The people, recognising the Royal seal on the side, step back and lower their eyes. Your father steps out, and a servent reaches up to help you down. With your father, you walk up to the make-shift stage on which the potential servents stand. He talks to you, but you barely listen. Instead you study the people waiting to be bought.
