Chapter #6

She doesn't want a ruined figure...it's a curse.

    by: Raptor Author IconMail Icon
Two weeks after Sykes and his Doberman duo had died, there was a morning in which a curse came upon Rita and Georgette, without either one or anyone else expecting it after both fell asleep the night before just like everyone else did in their respective homes.

Said curse was sudden and abrupt, and no one would know what it was, where it came from or that it even existed, for that matter, but when Georgette woke up, not only were she and Rita, in the morning, suddenly teleported into the same alley together, thanks to that curse, but that very same curse had caused them both to become unbelievably fat.

Here, I'll show you, these both being pictures made by HectorTheWolf and therefore not by me notwithstanding, how fat both of them were.

Georgette looked like this(minus the smile and the dog food remains around her, and instead looking shocked and aghast while freaking out, no duh)...

...and Rita looked like this(also minus the smile and, though alarmed and taken aback, as well, not freaking out like Georgette was)...

Both had seen each other just before discovering what had happened to them, but they discovered it before either could say a word or try and think about what might have happened to get them together in the same alley all of a sudden.

"H-H-H-HOW THE HELL DID I G-G-G-ET SO FAT???" Georgette exclaimed, barely able to keep herself together, and asked Rita: "AND HOW D-D-D-DID YOU GET THAT W-W-W-WAY, FOR THAT M-M-M-MATTER??????"

"Georgette, stop freaking out." Rita said firmly, true to tough, brave and down to earth form. "And don't have a breakdown. This is jarring beyond words, but we need to try and find a way to figure out what happened here, both concerning how we got here so suddenly and how we got this obese, neither of which have any apparent explanation."

"E-E-E-E-EASY FOR YOU T-T-T-T-TO SAY..." Georgette replied, on the verge of falling apart and becoming catatonic. "Y-Y-Y-YOU AREN'T THE ONE WHO NEEDS TO M-M-M-M-MAINTAIN HER PERFECTION E-E-E-E-EACH DAY..."

"I SAID STOP FREAKING OUT AND DON'T HAVE A BREAKDOWN!" Rita boomed, silencing Georgette and suddenly causing her losing it to cease, at least for the time being. "We have to look for a way to, A, get home, since, unless they're still asleep, our respective friends and owners are undoubtedly worried sick about us, B, look for an answer to what caused all of this and, C, do something to solve the problem and undo everything that's been done here. So the last thing we need is to make it worse."

"You're...you're right, Rita." Georgette nodded, realizing how the saluki's words were indeed accurate. "It's just...I never thought I'd see anything the least bit remotely like this even in my worst of nightmares. But yeah, going nuts isn't going to solve anything. First thing's first, though. How are we going to stand up again, and even if we do, how will we be able to move?"

"Both very good questions." Rita said. "Fortunately, I'm sufficiently smart to find a way for us to do both, though this will, fair warning, cause you to think I'm insane." Georgette nodded, and Rita continued: "We push and suck our guts in as much as possible, then we use what strength we've got left in our current conditions to thrust ourselves up and stand on our hind legs, which means we'll have to use our forelegs and forepaws as arms and hands, respectively. I know, I know. Crazy idea. But it's either that or being immobile and literally getting nowhere."

Georgette sighed, once more unable to deny how right Rita was, and then said: "Okay, are we doing this on the count of three?" Rita nodded and said: "Yes, because that's the way to do it that stands the greatest chance of success. I'll do the counting. Ready?" "Ready." Georgette said, and Rita told her: "One, two, three!"

They sucked their guts in with all their might along with using their forelegs and forepaws to push them in and hold them in(or at least do so to what they could of them, anyway)and pushed their hind legs and hindpaws up, also with as much strength as they could, and it proved just enough so that they were standing again before they had to let go of their giant bellies and let them spill out again, though thankfully they made sure to do so slowly so that they wouldn't fall over, given how much effort this all took.

"Well, what do you know? It worked!" Georgette said. "I hate to admit it, but this was a great idea, Rita, as crazy as it was." "See? What did I tell you?" Rita said, and then she told Georgette: "Okay, next of all, we can move now, but unlike how we were able to move previously, we'll be moving almost as slow as it's possible for anyone and/or anything to move. So it's going to take us quite a while to get anywhere, both figuratively and literally. In other words, keep it together. Because otherwise there'll be more problems, and I don't think you want any of those any more than I do."

"No, Rita, of course not!" Georgette confirmed. "Well, you know these streets better than I do, so lead the way." Rita informed her: "Just what I was thinking."

So they got going, and to their surprise, they discovered...
