It had been three weeks since Sykes and his two demonic dobermans had kicked the bucket, and things had gotten a lot better since then in many ways for NYC(no surprise there, seeing as how Sykes was a real monster and so were his two attack dogs he raised to be like him). Anyway, though there were some good zeniths reached, like how Fagin was able to get a real job and an apartment to live in along with his dogs, plus their part in bringing Sykes down made it so they were vindicated from all past thefts as long as Fagin promised neither he nor any one of his dogs would ever steal again(which he promptly did and made sure his dogs did, as well). Along with how said apartment was in a building right next door to Jenny's mansion. And, of course, how Oliver had grown on Georgette and she was much nicer to him than she'd been initially, and he was glad they were at last friends, and, in a loose sense, sort of siblings, since he just wanted to be her friend from the start, being the sweet, lovable and innocent kitten he was. That, and Dodger and Rita had fallen in love, and Tito had apologized to Georgette and vice versa, reconciling their relationship.
But the biggest milestone of all? Georgette was able to admit her feelings(at least just to Oliver, anyway)of how she was really tired of always having to be perfect and keep the way she looked in check, and it was depressing to always have to look the best possible way she could and live rigidly and strictly. And winning all those 1st place awards, trophies, oooohs and aaaaaahs and the like? It was no fun anymore, especially since it had gotten to be repetitive even for her. Oliver, being as sweet, caring and understanding as he was, sympathized with the poodle and thought up the perfect idea to make things better.
"So who says you have to continue with all those shows? Your room's already filled with trophies, and they actually said on the news recently, as I heard Jenny's parents talking about, that you were an everlasting champion on those shows and deserved a free life, and thus were being allowed to drop out and always be looked at as # 1 no matter what, and regardless of how you chose to shape your future! That you helped put a stop to Sykes only added to how well deserved such a nice break for you was!" "Yes, Oliver," Georgette acknowledged, "but the problem is I don't know what to do now! The purpose I've now quit has been my purpose for years, and I know of no other ways of life! It's like I've hit a dead end, or at the very least a wall, and a high one, at that!" "Well, not anymore, because I'm going to show you just how fun it is to live softly and be able to afford such a nice life on easy street!" Oliver smiled as he winked at her. Georgette was a bit surprised, especially with how excited his tone was, but she could tell this was the best bet she was likely to get for the rest of her life, so she went along with Oliver's idea. She and her kitten pal made their way into the kitchen, and the latter said: "Okay, you've always kept yourself so thin and twiglike. And I've been thin for my whole life, to this day, even as we now both have a better one. Sure, it's for different reasons entirely, but don't you think we could both use some food and, for that matter, some weight? Especially since this kind of life doesn't require you to do much except laze around?"
Georgette, as soon as she heard this, opened her eyes widely, for the realization of what Oliver was saying hit her like the C-Train in the subway of the city she lived in. "Are you suggesting we turn ourselves into fat, inert, overly-contented, gluttonous fur blobs?" "Basically, but more along the lines of gainers. Think about all those foods you've always wanted to eat, but known you couldn't. Not to mention how I've always wondered what they're like, but never got the chance for them. Well, today, since Jenny's at school, Winston is on a trip to a wrestling match he has tickets for a seat in the audience of and both of Jenny's parents are on a business trip, that means we have the whole house to ourselves and this could be the once in a lifetime opportunity we get to eat as much junk food, gain as much weight and live as much of a soft, lazy, relaxed, happy life as we possibly can. Won't it be fun to pile on the pounds?" Oliver responded, and this last bit of his coaxing did the trick. Realizing what she wanted, and knowing how strange this felt after years of being Miss Six Times National Champion and a perfect princess of a pencil thin poodle, Georgette got herself under control and was able to deal with how weird this far cry from her former self she was going to become was, and said: "All right, Oliver, how do we make ourselves go from cadaverous to corpulent? What do we eat?" "What don't we eat? But we've got to start somewhere." Oliver answered. "Hey, I know! How about..."
