Chapter #4Sins of A Mother by: Unknown Arturia wakes up feeling groggy; slowly she remembers how she got knocked out. She remembers that she was fighting an Assassin class servant with a strange arm before the Servant managed to avoid her attack and she was slowly absorbed by a strange dark portal. As her green eyes adjust to the darkness, she notices she is in a cave large enough to store several houses. She is also strapped to what seems to be a chair if could be called that. The reason why is the black chair felt…alive somehow. She felt a rumble beneath it similar to that off a pulse. Suddenly she hears a sound of something opening and closing then the sounds of footsteps. Could it be Assassin?
Trying to stand, Arturia Pendragon finds that she barely the strength to do so. Her mana must have been drained! Deciding to save her remaining energy, Saber sits back down waiting for the owner of the footsteps to come closer. Finally, the form comes closer and it is someone she recognized as soon as she saw the person’s face.
“Sakura? Is that you?” Saber says in astonishment. The girl that clung to her Master looked like a completely different person. Her long purple hair was now white as snow and her eyes were crimson, Instead of the normal clothes the knight was used to seeing her in she was wearing was black with red veins the dress however failed to cover her legs and spread out like cut strips of paper. She was wearing no shoes, walking toward Saber barefooted.
“Good morning Saber, or should I say Arturia Pendragon?” Even the girl’s meekness has disappeared. In its place there was confidence. Saber was surprised at her new name being revealed just as much the change to Sakura’s appearance. It takes the faithful knight a few seconds to process what’s going on before speaking.
“I am correct to assume you are Assassin’s Master, Sakura?” Saber assumes and Sakura nods, not surprised by the knight’s deduction skills. “Then why am I still alive?”
Saber is wondering why she is still alive. If Sakura still wanted the Grail she would need to cull the competition so why was she still here in this plane of existence?
Sakura giggles at Saber’s question as if she asked why the sky was blue,” As you know Assassin class servants are not very strong and Berserker is a very strong Servant. It would stand to reason I would require a very strong Servant as well wouldn’t?”
“And you think I would betray my Master and Serve you?”
“Yes, I know how loyal you are to Senpai,” Sakura says with a cruel smile. “But I need you, the Grail needs you.”
“Wha-?”
“The Grail has chosen you as its host Saber.” Sakura continues as if she is hailing a prophet from on high. “Only you can give birth to it. When you do your whole world will change, trust me.”
“Give birth? What are you saying?!” Saber spouts as she forces herself to stand. But it takes all her strength to stand, she cannot approach Sakura yet alone take a step or else she will fall flat on her face. Has Sakura lost it? The Holy Grail is an object not a thing of flesh and using her to grow it? Barbaric!
Sakura approaches Arturia and lightly pushes her. That is all it takes for the knight to fall back down on the black chair which now has red pulsing veins running through it. Saber tries to raise her arms but finds they are now stuck like glue to the chair. Her clothes and armor are not only stuck to it but her skin, her entire arm, her entire body is stuck like glue!
“Saku-UMP!”Before Arturia can say anything a black sludge similar in color as the chair enters her mouth. The taste is vile and bitter, tasting like corruption itself! Sakura smiles as Saber is forced to swallow the sludge, caressing her face as the chair slowly covers her body.
“Don’t worry when you wake up, you will feel absolutely refresh. I promise.” Sakura say as Saber’s green eyes are covered and leaving her blind.
*Some time later*
Saber was trapped in a void filled with endless suffering, endless violence, and the eternal evil of mankind. It was there that she learned the truth. The world was evil and disgusting. Her end was just another stepping stone for that evil, why do it all over again only for the cycle to repeat itself?
It needed to be restarted and be born anew. She, Arturia Pendragon, would be the one to do by giving birth to a new life that was far superior to any foolish human being.
Outside, Arturia’s black and veiny cocoon that she was entrapped in slowly started to come apart piece by piece as Saber’s new form showed itself.
Her sliver armor, once pure and simple was now black, heavy and bulky. Her armored gauntlets now were similar. Her blue gown she loved was now tainted black. Her green eyes were now yellow and bloodthirsty. Bu Sakura was right, she did indeed feel refreshed more alive with a grand new purpose:
To give birth to Angra Mainyu.
Saber still in sitting in her new throne, sees Sakura who was now kneeling before her. “My Queen, how are feeling?”
Saber smiles after taking in the air as if truly breathing for the first time, “Like a brand new person and….” The black knight touches her armor, where her navel is located. There was nothing noticeable there but a mother knows when she is expecting. “My child is demanding nutrition.”
“Very well, should we head out now?” Sakura asks.
Saber considers her options as her stomach rumbles. Her child is hungry; while she could eat mundane human food she knows would not be enough to fully nourish her developing child. It would require the energy of other servants and perhaps their Masters to help the child grow. Also looking around the cave, Saber notices how dreary it is, if she was to have a child they would require a more suitable place worthy of a queen. Perhaps she should take over the shrine above them, which Caster used to reside in before being killed by her hands and expel those monks residing it? There are not many servants whom could take her on currently so perhaps she should just charge ahead? It might be better to try and satisfy her child for now with human souls for now and have Sakura and Assassin scout the situation.
Coming to a decision, the queen decides to…
