"I don't think that would be a good idea. A couple of days would be fine, but that long. Well, let's just say, Tony is too much of a boy for all that. Besides, he's got to go out for football," your mother says politely as she hands Rachael a drink.
"Well, you know best," Rachael sighs. "Is something burning on the stove?"
Both you and your mother instantly rush toward the stove as Rachael drops a pill into each of your drinks.
"I'm sorry. I thought I smelled something burning. Silly me," Rachael chuckles.
'That's just it, my dear. Women can be such silly millies at times. Not like Tony. Did you see how heroically he ran to the stove," your mother proudly states then takes a big sip of her drink.
The conversation dwindles to small talk as the three of you drink. As you and your mother swallows the last drop, Rachael sits back and smiles. "Please re-consider the Humanities project," Rachael asks. "It would be good for Tony."
Your mother seems a bit unsure.
"Tony thinks it's a good idea. A wonderful behavioral science study. It could help so many people," Rachael insists. "Tony, tell her it's a good idea."
"It is a good idea, mom," you find yourself saying.
"Well, if you think so, Tony," your mom says slowly.
Rachael stands close to your mother's face and says sternly,"You think it's a wonderful idea, don't you?"
