"It's probably nothing." you assured yourself, returning to your work. "Besides, it'll still be there in the morning, I can go check it out then."
As you continued to work, you heard what sounded like a badly tuned car pulling in to the service station. Sighing, you walked out to inform whoever it was that the mechanic would not be in until morning. Only that thought left your mind the instant you saw what only could be described as an alien craft, floating slightly above the ground with a badly dented front. "What the hell!?" was all you could say, though your mind was running a mile a minute.
Suddenly, a seamless door opened and two small... individuals walked out on three legs, talking to each other in a strange but irritable tone as they both waved three arms with four fingers. They stopped talking as I spoke.
"Um... May I help you?"
"Mister I know the universe like the back of my hand," said one alien, pointing to the other, "got us lost! We ran out of fuel and crashed onto your world."
"We need, I believe, what you call liquid plutonium." said the second alien, more meekly.
You were surprised that they were able to speak English but... a customer was a customer...
"I'm sorry but the strongest we carry here is diesel." you replied, apologetically. you then looked at their ship. "I can take a look at your front end, though. Maybe we can use some old car parts to patch her up with."
The second alien smiled slightly. "Souvenirs!"
The first alien smacked the second with a firm four fingered hand. "What good will they do without fuel, Newt!?"
"Aw, back off, Repulsa!" said Newt. "Maybe we can modify something."
Repulsa sighed, rolling her three eyes then spotted a nuclear power plant in the far distance. "We can use the waste from that primitive fission reactor complex." she said. "It should not cause any permanent problems for this world." she then turned to you. "Perhaps you would like to help us."
You gulped, knowing you were going to be in trouble either way.
