Making an Impression

by: Raging Demon Author IconMail Icon
Hypon is a disciple of Kung Fu and is currently seeking revenge for the murder of his master, Master Wolf. In his search he has made his way to the Valley of Peace to seek guidance and training from the greatest hero in all of China, none other than the Dragon Warrior himself. It is about mid day as we find Hypon just now making his way into the Valley. A few of the citizens take notice as he makes his way through the front gates. It would seem hard not to take notice, considering his tall and strong physique, dark black fur, bright ruby red eyes, and white gi with black belt around his waist. He just seemed to have an overall shady looking appearance to him. 'Geez' Hypon thought to himself as he continued to look at the onslaught of stares and whispering going on around him. 'This place is just teeming with hospitality' he thought sarcastically. As he continued walking he felt a pain in his gut telling him it was time to eat. Hypon just so happened to be close by Mr. Ping's (Po's Father's) noodle shop. He decided it was as good a place as any to grab a bite to eat. "Welcome" said Mr. Ping in an enthusiastic voice. "How may I serve you today"? He asked as Hypon took a seat. "Do you serve dumplings"? Asked Hypon. "Why yes we do, and it's your lucky day, dumplings are the value special of the day. How many should I put you down for sir" Mr. Ping asked politely, pen and paper in hand. "Fifty please" said Hypon sincerely. "Alright then fifty dumplings it is- f-f-f-f-f-f-FIFTY"?!?! Exclaimed Mr. Ping. "Yes please" replied Hypon. "Oh you got it" said Mr. Ping catching his breath. "Fifty dumplings for my best customer, coming up"! He shouted. 'Well' thought Hypon, waiting on his order. 'At least the service is nice'. About twenty minutes later Mr. Ping came out with Hypon's order. He was quickly dispatching the dumplings when there was suddenly a large commotion going on just down the street. Hypon peeked his head out to see a few oxes giving a bunny merchant a rough time. Smashing the fruit vendors merchandise and wrecking his cart. Hypon let out a heavy sigh as he new what he needed to do. He walked up to the front of the restaurant, placing some currencey on the desk. "You might want to make the rest of those dumplings to go" said Hypon. "Just wrap 'em up for me. I'll be back in a minute" he said reassuringly. "You got it sir" replied Mr. Ping with a hint of concern for the brash young wolf. As Hypon made his way down the road he could begin to make out the conflict. "P-p-p-please stop" said the rabbit timidly, "I'll pay the protection money as soon as I can, I promise". "That ain't good enough furball" said one of the Ox thugs. "Yeah" said the other. "You might wanna cough up the rest of the dough. It'd be a shame if somethin' happened to this crappy cart of yours" he said shaking it roughly. "Oh no" said the rabbit. "Excuse me gentleman" said Hypon, from behind the Oxen. "You mind stepping aside, I'd like to buy some fruit" he said nonchalantly. "Beat it stranger. We got business with the rabbit" said one of them. "Yeah, get lost" said the other. They then turn their attention back to the rabbit. "Perhaps you gentleman didn't hear me" said Hypon grabbing the two oxen by their horns. He then threw them in the opposite direction of the rabbit and his stand, sending them tumbling and crashing into a wall. "I said....'Excuse me'." He said in a cool tone. "Are you alright"? he asked the rabbit. He was obviously still shaken, but still nodded. "You're gonna regret that stranger" said one of them as they groggily rose to their feet. They both pulled out axes and prepared to attack. Hypon takes a step forward and gives them a very intimidating, low growl. Their eyes go wide and they turn tail and run. "Let's get outta here" shouted one of them as their twin dust trails disappeared from view just as the two oxen themselves did. "That's right, run" said Hypon confidently, "and don't let me catch you harming the innocent again". As he turned and helped up the rabbit merchant he looked up in surprise to see that it wasn't him that scared off the two oxen bullies, but the person standing on top of the archway. He saw that it was none other than Master Tigress of the Furious Five. "Thanks for taking care of that" she said in her usual monotone voice as she hopped down beside you. "You saved me the trouble" she added. "Yeah, well thanks for the help" replied Hypon sarcastically. "Do you honestly think you needed it"? She asked. "True" replied Hypon. "Sir....Sir"! Shouted Mr. Ping as he made his way over to Hypon and Tigress. "I was just on my way over to give you the rest of your order, but those two thugs snatched it from me and ran" he stated. As if on cue, Hypon's stomach growled. "That's just great" Hypon said out loud. "Come with me" said Tigress, motioning for Hypon to follow her. "Why" he asked curiously. "You did my job for me before I could get here, the least I can do is feed you. Now come on" she said rather demandingly. 'Sheesh. Pushy lady' Hypon thought to himself. 'Pretty easy on the eyes though' he thought as he got a good look at Tigress as he began to follow her.
