Croc bandits and muscle drain

(Tai Lung Pov)

Thinking about my choices I considered my options. Even though training would be better it would simply take too much time to train until I was ready to face Po, and if I did train it could take months to years to beat Po.

No, if I wanted to defeat that fat panda I would need to grow stronger as fast as possible, and the only way I could do that was if I used magic. And if what my former guards said is true, then there is a rumored shaman in Shāngyè chéng.

Looking back at the trail behind me that led to the dragon's place, its splendid red walls visible even from miles away, I took one last glance at my former home, I would return when I was finally able to prove that old turtle was wrong, that I was the dragon warrior, not that fat panda.

turning away I started walking down the overgrown path leading away from the valley and towards my destination, Shāngyè chéng. A city that, according to what I got out of the guards, sold anything and everything, even illegal items and services.

(3rd Pov)
Not wasting any more time Tai Lung sprinted towards Shāngyè chéng, dodging and weaving through the trees on the overgrown path. Tai Lung was determined to learn magic to get stronger, even if he had to beat the shaman up to learn said magic.

And so time passed, after hours of sprinting Tai Lung finally came to a stop at the edge of a large valley. Below him was Shāngyè chéng, a city bursting with merchants and people who traded for a living.

Tai Lung glanced over the city before jumping off the edge of the cliff and sliding down towards the city, partway down Tai Lung jumped off the cliff wall to land on a shop roof. As soon as Tai Lung landed he broke off into a sprint, running and jumping from roof to roof, drawn by some unseen force towards the city's black market.

(Tai Lung Pov)

As soon as I looked at the city I knew where I would find the shaman, right in the middle of what the black market was a large beacon of chi, to the normal person and untrained warriors wouldn't be able to see or feel it. But for someone as powerful and trained as me, it was like lighting a lamp in the middle of the night.

Landing on the roof of a building I was in sight of where the chi was coming from. Right in front of me was an old shop that looked like it would collapse as soon as a strong gust of wind hit it.

Jumping off the roof and landing on the ground without making a sound I walked up to the shop's door and opened it without any hesitation. I came this far I wouldn't back down now. Walking inside the shop I heard the door creek shut behind me while a small bell chimed, announcing my presence to the shop owner.

Looking around the old shop, covered floor-to-ceiling in dusty scrolls and books, it didn't take long to find the owner of this shop standing ahead of me, behind a counter with a cash register.

The shopkeeper himself was an old goat who seemed perfectly normal, except for the beacon of chi, with that said the shopkeeper seemed to finally notice me “Awe, a customer, what is it you seek from me?”

Stepping in front of the shopkeeper I announced my goal to the shaman “I seek the knowledge of magic that will allow me to grow stronger!” the old goat stroked his beard before responding “I do know of a way, but what could you possibly trade for this knowledge you seek?”

This insignificant worm, I won't be denied what I seek! Without hesitation, I side-kicked the counter the goat was standing behind through the wall, attempting to intimate him.

Turning to the goat I made my demands clear “You will give me the knowledge I seek, and in return, I will spare your life”. The old goat only stuttered out a “Yes sure, right away sure!” before skittering away from me and into one of the many piles of scrolls beside him.

I watched on as he tossed scroll after scroll over his shoulder while muttering “Nope, not this one, Not this one either” before grabbing an extremely old scroll and shouting “Here it is!” before presenting the scroll to me “This is what you seek, please leave now please!”

Huffing at the shaman's pathetic display I tore the scroll out of the old goat's hands and walked out of the shop, my destination was the forest outside of the city. As if I wanted to learn this technique then I didn't want to be distracted by anyone.

(old goats/ Shaman Pov)

Watching the snow leopard leave through the shop door I couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief “I thought I was going to die!” I was angry at the snow lepered, extremely so, but my revenge was already in effect.

Thinking about what was going to happen, I couldn't help but chuckle at the thought, “Hu huhu, it's a good thing I still had that cursed technique. I can't wait to see how that snow leopard looks when he finds out what he took!”

Instead of giving the snow leopard a normal chi technique that would make him stronger, I gave him a cursed technique that drained the opponent's chi and added it to the user. This sounds amazing, and it is, but there is a nasty side effect to this technique.

The user drains the opponent's chi from one part of their body, like their arms or legs, and adds it to their own, causing the part of the opponent's body they drained to become nothing but skin and bones.

But the opposite is also true, the drained chi is added to the user's body, causing it to grow bigger to contain it. This wouldn't be that bad if not for the fact that the user's body would grow out of proportion if the user drained too much chi at once.

If the user drained a massive amount of chi from the opponent's arms, then only the user's arms would grow bigger, and by a large amount too. So the more chi the opponent has the more the user's body would grow.

I can already imagine the helpless ball of muscle the snow leopard would become in a few days “Huhu, I hope you like fighting while you can, because soon you won't be able to do anything anymore!”

(Tai Lung Pov)

Finally reaching a small clearing in the middle of the forest outside of Shāngyè chéng I sat down, propping my back against a tree while I finally opened the scroll I took from that old goat.

Reading through the old scroll I couldn't help but be amazed at the technique before me, its name was Chi drain, and like the name suggests it drains the chi from the opponent and adds it to the user. It is a simple but effective way to make a warrior stronger while making the opponent weaker, making it a perfect technique for me.

Reading through the scroll once more I rolled it up and put it in the back of my pants. Making sure the scrolls were secure I took a deep breath and focused on the chi around me. My goal was simple, if I wanted to learn the technique I would need to find something or someone to test it on, so I was trying to find anyone close by that I could test it on.

However, luck was on my side as I noticed a couple of weak chi signs between me and the city. Not wanting to lose sight of my new training drummers I took off into a sprint as I rushed towards my targets.

(time skip 10 minutes)

Stopping right in front of a Croc bandit camp I got ready for this one-sided fight as a group of 10 Crocs rushed out of their camp, with no other Crocs in the camp from what I could see, and when they saw me they became overconfident as they only saw me “well boys, lookie here, a lone traveler, why don't we show them a good time by taking his things!” before lowering their spears and charging me.

Looking at the utterly pathetic display I could not help but huff in disappointment “pathetic” before punching one of the Crocs into a tree. before flipping over another and kicking him and another into a third Croc.

The remaining six tried to surround me and charge me only for me to jump over their spears before landing on my hands and spinning kicking all six Crocs heads, knocking all of them out.

Flipping onto my feet I looked over the sprawled-out forms of the Crocs and decided this would be the best time to test out the chi drain technique I learned. Looking at one of the Crocs arms I focused on it as I went through the motions of the technique.

Soon enough I saw a thin stream of chi leave the Croc's arms before it entered my arms. I instantly felt a rush of pleasure and energy as my chi reserve was refiled and slowly started to grow. And just as soon as it started the line of chi ended, leaving the Crocs arms nothing but skin and bones.

Looking at my arm I could see both of them had gained some definition, barely noticeable if not for my keen eye. Looking at the other Crocs I started gathering the undrained Crocs into a pile and using the technique again.

And just like before nine streams of chi left the arms of the Crocs and entered my arms, however unlike before the effect and rush of pleasure I felt was much stronger. Finishing the final motion of the chi drain I watched as the final bit of chi entered my arm as they finally stopped growing.

Each of my arms had gained enough muscle mass that my biceps had inflated into 5” spheres of lean muscle, and I could already feel the increase in strength that came from my new muscle mass. Looking at the pile of Crocs whose arms looked like only skin and bones and then my arms I felt proud “hump, a fitting reward for beating those weaklings”

Now what should I do, I still crave more power, and to gain said power I would need to find more opponents to beat. But that leaves the question of whether I should go after the weaker, but more plentiful warriors that wouldn't be missed, or the stronger warriors that would allow me to gain more power, but would also draw attention to me.

Thinking about it I decided to…

You have the following choices:

1. drain the chi of a strong opponent

*Noteb*
2. drain the chi of many weaker opponents

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
