Chapter #6

Thanks For The Memories

    by: Unknown
"I wouldn't worry about that," I said as I put a hand on Sasha's fuzzy shoulder.

She immediately turned to look at me, tilting her head in confusion as a single tear crawled steadily down from her right eye. "Why?" she said slowly.

I breathed in and let out a sigh before answering. "Because, if things had gone down differently back then, you might not have become the awesome person you are today."

Sasha's jaw dropped open as I said that, her face turning bright red. "Aw," she said as she quickly looked away, "You don't really mean that..."

I smiled. "Of course I do," I said happily. "I don't know a lot of girls who can use a lever-action shotgun, and I don't know any girls who can use a lever-action shotgun one-handed."

Sasha chuckled slightly, wiping away her tears with her hand. "Yeah...your uncle taught me. Specifically for when Vicky shows up. I'll have to teach you sometime."

"Are the rounds lethal?" I asked, glancing warily at the shotgun resting on its stand above the fireplace.

"No!" she said quickly. "It's just rubber buckshot! I mean, I'm still pretty mad at her for what she did, but I'm not mad enough to actually kill her."

I nodded. That made sense. As much sense as anything did on my uncle's farm.

"Still," Sasha continued, "Rubber buckshot stings like a bitch. Next time she comes around here, I'll be sure to give her a taste, just for old times' sake."

"That's the spirit," I grinned. Before I could say anything else, Sasha turned and gave me a hug.

"Thank you," she said over my shoulder. "I needed that."

"No problem," I said as I patted her on the back, "It's what I'm here for."

Sasha eventually let me out of the hug, giving me a quick kiss on the cheek before standing up and making her way into the kitchen. I instinctively wiped the side of my face with my hand. Sure, she didn't actually lick me, but her kiss was still somewhat...slobbery. I couldn't help but smile, though. Mission accomplished, I thought to myself.

I sat there in the living room for a while, reflecting on everything that had happened today. My mind came back to Bess and her oversized breasts several times, as much as I tried to avoid picturing them. Even so, I eventually managed to remember the list of tasks Sasha had given me that morning. Accounting for what I had already done, there were only really two things I still had left to do. I could go and shear Jane, or introduce myself to Luna.

Looking at my watch and seeing that it was still before noon, I decided to...

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. ...go shear Jane.

*Noteb*
2. ...go and introduce myself to Luna.

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
