A Deadly Mistake

"Down Here! Help!"

You scream up to the man as you jump about the smooth leather surface of the shoe. He looks down upon you, at first for a split second but then he does a double take as your flailing arms just barely catch his attention.

"Damn bugs..." He mutters, too quiet for the rest of the family to hear.

Your heart sinks as his dress sock clad foot knocks you away from the shoe. With a simple step, the vast fabric-clad foot comes down upon you. It wasn't a brutal stomp but that didn't lessen the searing pain you felt as all your bones and body broke and burst under the immense weight and pressure of Tim's foot... Darkness.

Tim put his other shoe on and went to work. He didn't give another thought to the bug he had killed, unaware that it was a shrunken human. He only acted out of an instinct to protect his wife and youngest daughter, both he thought utterly terrified of bugs...
