A girl of nearly 19 watched the events unfold from where she was leaning against a tree and had been reading. She closes her book and leans forward watching as Tanner waved at the little boy who had turned to look back. The girl smiles to herself and climbs to her feet she wantes very much to know this man's story. She made a beeline for him and when Tanner turned to head on his way he noticed her obvious destination.
"Would you like some ice cream?" She asks, "after what you did for that boy its the least I can do."
Tanner grins, "sure, why not, it ain't everyday a mysterious girl with a dangerous looking book asks to buy you ice cream."
"Dangerous how?" she examens her book wondering how it could ever be dangerous.
Smirking Tanner starts toward the ice cream truck, "If you let me buy I'll tell you."
She starts to protest but he waves something over his shoulder and she realizes its her wallet. "Hey, how did you?"
He stops and turns around, "Are you coming or not? I thought we were getting ice cream."
