Ask why the other girl dropped out

"First can you tell me why the other girl dropped out?" you ask. "What was so bad that she's waste a whole year of work?"

"Well..." Kate obviously doesn't want to tell you.

"Please Kate." you insist. "I won't go anyway if you don't tell me."

"Okay." she give in. "On the camp, the babies have to wear diapers."

"Really?" you ask.

"And use them." she adds. "The girl who dropped out thought it would be too embarrassing."

You are left speechless.

"You won't go now will you?" she asks.

"I...um." you say. "It's a lot to ask. Using diapers."

"I know." she says. "But if you don't then Tanya and I might miss out on the camp."

"But how could you even date me after changing my diapers?" you ask. "You wouldn't be able to look at me the same way."

"No." she says. "I promise."

You aren't convinced.

"Okay." she sounds desperate. "What if you've changed my diapers too? Would that make you feel better?"

"What?" you're confused.

"I'll wear diapers from this afternoon until just before the camp." she explains.

"Even to school?" you ask. "You'd do that?"

She nods.
