Kyle felt that he should know Mandy better before giving her any strength. He did not want to regret it later. After buying the book, Kyle went home to read the comic book.
Kyle arrived home to do some simple house chores first. Then he sat in the easy chair to read it. The book was interesting to read. Halfway through, it showed Batgirl in some peril. She was tied up on some posts on the ground. The Riddler placed her there. Some cattle was heading in her direction about 5 minutes away to trample her to death. Kyle did peek ahead a few pages ahead to where Batman saved her from doom. Kyle wondered if kissing a girl merely in a comic book would work as well. Maybe the storyline will change and that she did not really need Batman's help.
Kyle first brought the comic book carefully to his lips. He placed it actually on the spot where Batgirl was supposedly doomed. Then he 'kissed' her on the lips for a few seconds, hoping that she will gain some impressive muscles within the pages of the comic book. He had his eyes closed the whole time, trying to imagine her much better. That included her being more intelligent and more experienced fighter.
He gave a sigh, hoping that it would work. Then Kyle opened his eyes to see if it did work or not.
