Alexis walked up to the Slifer Dorm, wondering how to approach Jaden on this matter. It had been a week since the one who possessed her brother was defeated, and although Jaden came out more, he still rarely talked to them. In fact, he seemed to be avoiding her most of all. Every time they ran into each other, Jaden quickly came up with some excuse and left her wondering.
"Does he hate me now?" she said aloud. It took her a moment to realize she was already in front of his door. "Well, might as well go for it."
She tentatively knocked on the door. He heard the sound of the lock being undone. He opened it slightly. Alexis did her best to smile. Jaden moved to close the door, but Alexis's hand stopped it.
"Oh, no, Jaden. I'm not taking that."
She pulled it open, and barged in.
"Alexis, please you need to leave."
"Oh, no. You've been avoiding me all week. You need to tell me why."
Suddenly, Alexis noticed Jaden holding his hands, shaking like he was fighting something.
"Jay?"
"You shouldn't have come. Ever since Nightshroud's defeat a week ago, the supreme king's power has tried to take over me every time I came close to you."
"The Supreme King?"
"It happened when we were in the other dimension. He's like my evil personality that lives in me."
"Why's he coming out now?"
"He's not. His power is. It's trying to make me want to turn all the girls in the academy into my slaves, except you. It's making me want to make you something else."
"What's that?" Alexis asked as she put a hand on his shoulder. Bad move. Jaden's head raised, and she gasped as she saw his usual chocolate-brown eyes turn gold. Jaden then slammed his lips against hers. She returned the kiss after she realized Jaden was kissing her. When Jaden pulled back, Alexis felt something strange happening to her.
"The Supreme Queen."
