Chapter #7

10 going on 35 and beyond

    by: Unknown
"You can still play Call of Duty and watch Spongebob and eat chocolate ice cream," the store attendant said serenely. "Now you just have to balance it with a job and taking care of kids. Now hand over $60 if you don't want to miss dinner with your husband."

John lived in a world where people gave him what he want, and if he didn't, some stomps, pouts, and a "I'm not gonna stop screaming til you buy me Black Ops NOOOOOOOOOOWWW" more often than not did him the trick. But this was a different world, with a different body and set of rules, and John quickly realized, faster than most 10-year olds would (might be the lady brain, he thought glumly), that a tantrum wasn't going to cut it here. It wouldn't be so obnoxious or convincing.

"I don't have any money," he said. "I just got like this!"

"You have a purse, don't you?"

He looked at the purse strapped to his shoulder. No wonder that side of him had felt heavier; he hadn't really noticed it yet, what with the boobs and no wiener and all.

"Reach inside of it," the store attendant said.

John did as told, looking sullen the whole time. He rummaged past cosmetics, a bottle of some liquid ("PEPPER SPRAY," it said. Might be tasty, he thought) and a package of something like napkins before he found his wallet. He pulled it out and handed a hundred dollar bill. It was one of at least ten others in there.

The store attendant, mean as she was, was kind enough to hand John's change back. She said "Have a nice day" and returned to her business at the counter.

John wanted to ask her how he was expected to go home to dinner when he didn't know this lady's address, husband, kids, job, anything. He didn't think to look at any of the IDs he passed through in her wallet, but even if he did he hadn't studied a driver's license enough to know what any of the abbreviations stood for... Or what an address looked like.

He teetered out of the store, wondering why ladies put sharp sticks on their shoes to make them taller when it hurt their feet so much. It felt weird looking over everybody's head, but he couldn't shake the feeling, even knowing he looked 100% like a real woman, that someone would figure out he was just a silly boy and laugh at him.

You have the following choices:

1. He bumps into his mom

2. He bumps into his new husband
