You're an adolescent boy named Xernatos. You are the son of Excallius, a Draconian from the very party that brought upon your entire bloodline the Draconian curse. Your father is a cruel power hungry and bloodthirsty monster who aims to be worshiped as a god. Your older half-siblings see no problem with his behavior. Your father will soon complete his transformation into a true dragon. On that day he'll build up a new dragon empire and enslave the world. However, this made you uncomfortable. Why did this make you uncomfortable? The sole reason is that you were birthed from a human concubine. As you have observed Draconians who are a thousand years older or older can shapeshift into any humanoid form at will. When a Draconian can willingly transform from beast to man and back that is the sign that they will soon become a true dragon.
You were currently on the Rawridge Mountains in your father's cave. Your kin have created a hidden village in these mountains often luring unfortunate adventurers to their doom. At the moment you were watching over your eldest sister's eggs. Your sister Xorna was currently telling your father of her plans to take over Tryzantium. By what you could hear it involved making a pact with the orcs. Apparently it involved hunting down the demons that were plaguing the orcs. In exchange for helping the orcs they would then pay tribute to your father. Yet since orcs are known to be slow witted when gathered together they foolishly agreed, with no idea that your father intended to create a new breed of Draconians and eventually true dragons by breeding Draconians and true dragons with orcs.
You sigh as you listen to the entire conversation. However, you started to feel a burning sensation. Suddenly you writhe in pain as your inevitable transition to becoming a Draconian begins. First a pair of silver wings protrude out of your back. Next your fingernails become sharp claws. Lastly you grow two feet in height, gain more muscle mass, and you grow silver scales on your back from where your wings sprouted. You panic as you feel your new wings. You always dreaded this day, but now there was nothing you could do. Within 10 or 20 years you'll probably grow a tail or horns depending on where the new scales appear first. As you slowly snapped out of your shock you felt unhinged. A strong desire to hunt and procreate overcame your being.
Once your sister returned you took off to hunt for your first meal and to satisfy your lustful desires, yet in the back of your mind you were afraid that you would turn into a terrifying monster. However, a part of you loved the change. Surely it will be a struggle between your diminishing human side and your emerging dragon side. As you were soaring into the sky with your newly grown wings something catches your eye. What do you find?
