Giant bees

Common honey bees, with unrealistically huge sizes, generally twice as tall as humans and five times as long. Being pretty uncommon due to the high requirements of their large bodies, they live in hive easily larger than castles, only near overgrown vegetation, feeding more often than not from vegetables and honey, highly prized, but extremely rare to get given it's fiercely protected alongside their home.

Having only small pincers onto their mouth, mainly to transport food and their offspring, they fend off their enemies with gusts of winds, dropping them from high heights, and, on rarer occasions, bitten, either on wings or head, to, sometimes, be eaten whole.

The giant bees almost never leave their territory, mostly doing so during mating seasons to keep their queens healthy and producing eggs, by hunting animals and humans to supply them with proteins, mostly done by male bees.

Despite their inability to use magic, their bodies contain high amounts of mana that protects them from most magical attacks, especially wind, fire and light elements, but remain frail against icy, watery and dark attacks.

On extremely rare occurrences, the larvae that hatches from their eggs becomes more humanoid as they grow, more commonly called anthropomorphous, always being heavily endowed sexually-wise when they reaches adulthood, the time when they leave the hive permanently to seek a compatible mate/host to love unconditionally and to protect at all cost.
