"This is incredible." Twilight remarked as she browsed through a new spellbook.
"What's gotch'ya so gung-ho, sugar?" Applejack asked. All of Twilight's friends had joined her for a spot of lunch but, of course, she couldn't resist studying through the meal.
"This looks like a spell for interdimensional travel." Twilight answered.
"Inter-dimond... what now?" The farm pony sought clarification.
"Interdimensional." Twilight went into 'dictionary mode'. "Between dimensions, universes, or realities."
"So, what you are telling us, dear, is you've found a spell that allows ponies to explore other versions of Equestria."
"Not just other versions of Equestria, Rarity. This spell has the potential to let us explore worlds beyond our wildest dreams."
"Whoa!" Rainbow Dash interjected. "That'd be so awesome!"
"D'yer really think it'd be a good idea t' go explorin' some world where yer dunno how it'd compare to our own?" Applejack warned.
"I'll have to investigate a bit," Twilight replied, "But if there's a way to specify the kind of world you want to explore I feel confident in trying it out as soon as possible."

"It looks promising." Twilight stated once they were all gathered in the library. "It seems that you can limit the scope of the spell by focusing on a particular attribute you want to explore. So, if I focus on an alternative Equestria where Princess Celestia is still in charge and is still the cheerful Princess we all know and love it shouldn't go far wrong. Would any of you like to come with me? It could be lonely being a stranger in a strange land."
"I don't know," Fluttershy managed to make herself heard, "It all sounds a bit scary."
