Its my battle and i don't want you to be dragged into it." explained Chris "I am involved i was with you when you first found them in the caves, i should be there to help you" "Ben I don't want you to get hurt you cant even wield a sword. I'm sorry friend but somethings i must do alone". Ben looked frustratingly at Chris but realized Chris was only trying to protect him, and it was true he could not wield a sword, he almost beheaded Tiny when he first tried to mimic Chris's sword play. "at least let me help get your horse ready" said Ben smirking at Chris "That would be helpful" said Chris smirking back. With that Ben belted out of the back door into the stables behind the shop. "Tiny wake up were going on an adventure". The instant Chris said Tiny, Tiny literally jumped to his feet and ran up stairs, Chris quickly followed suit. As Chris reached his bedroom door Tiny had already pulled out Chris travel pack and weapons. "I really lucked out when i chose you as a pet".
A few minutes later Ben was standing outside with Chris's horse saddled and ready. "Chris where are you?"Ben asked no one in particular "I'm up here" shouted Chris as he lept from his bedroom balcony, as he fell he did a front flip, then landing on his horse. Chris's horse protested at the sudden change in weight."Show off" Ben said as he shock his head. "You better hurry" "don't worry i know a short cut hopefully i will get there before they reach the settlement" with that Chris began to ride the horse up the street towards the mountains followed seconds later by Tiny.
After 10 minutes of fast riding Chris was at 'the short cut' it was a very small opening it was about half a meter wide and just high enough for Chris to stand upright without banging his head. The cave entrance was well hidden by the trees around it and by the way the entrance almost looks like one of the cracks running up and down the mounties. Chris began to hear screams as he entered the caves this accelerated his movements as he pulled his hood over his head to hide his face. Within moments he entered a large cavern that was dimly lit by a few lamps and torches, however Chris could make out at least a two dozen dead Lamia and a few dead soldiers. "shit i was two late" cursed Chris at that point Chris hear more screams and shouts coming deeper within the caverns. Chris ran furtherer into the caverns, and found himself in a cavern smaller then then first. There was 7 dead lamia and 3 soldiers. "I think thats all of them" said the first soldier "the rest of them seem to have gone deeper into the cavern" said the second soldier "I'm sure that they won't be coming back anytime some are. Are work here is done". Chris was standing in the shadows as the soldiers where about to get ready to leave. Chris had a instant feeling and acted apone it but bucking, milliseconds later a blade slices where his neck was. As Chris ducked he began to spin on his toes to face his attacker. Pulling on the hilt of his sword pulling it out with such force that the sword slams the attacker in the stomach. Chris followed through and struck the head of forth soldier that tried to attack him. The soldier was knocked out but this alerted the other three soldier.
Within seconds the soldiers where apone him but Chris had far superior skills and disarmed and neutralized the three without breaking a sweat. "This was all my fault i did this". Chris feel to his knees as he clutch the hilt of his blade. Tiny nuzzles his head under Chris's arm, " Tiny I told you to stay with the horse". Chris sulked in self pity for a few seconds when suddenly Tiny lifted his head and began to bark. "what is it?" said Chris lifting his head slightly. Tiny continued to bark as he got up and ran over to one of the dead Lamia's. Chris got up and followed Tiny, Tiny began to claw at the ground next to the Lamia. Chris with some difficultly pulled the lamia over. the lamia was a young women about 24 years of age with long black hair but what was underneath the dead lamia was a small crack in the wall. In the hole there was another lamia she was much younger the the one she hide under she looked around 15 years old but Chris could not tell because it was too dark.
