Julie came out on top. "Oh great, I won.", she said unenthusiastic. "And now I can show you that this does not work... What do I have to do again?".
"You just have to say "I want to swap X with Y". I guess you can swap anything you can think of.", explained Jason while he looked through the manual again.
"Okay. So... I don't know... I want to swap voices with Jason.", she said. It was the most ridiculous and impossible swap she could think of. She waited for a few moments and did not feel any different.
"I told you it would not wor-", she began but stopped. Her voice had changed. It was deeper. It was familiar. You hear your own voice differently than the outside world but she could swear that the voice she had just heard coming from her mouth sounded like Jason's.
Jason gasped and was looking at her with his mouth wide open. "I-it worked!", he finally said disbelievingly. The voice coming out of his mouth sounded familiar for Julie as well. He sounded just like her!
Steven was just as amazed as his two friends were. "This cards really work! I knew it!", he exclaimed.
"And we are stuck like this for 48 hours?", asked Julie shocked. "I have to have his voice for so long?".
"It says so in the manual.", answered Jason, getting used to his new higher voice. "You can swap with someone else but you can't get your own voice back during these 2 days.".
"But what will people think?", she asked but immediately realised how stupid the question was. The manual explicitly told that the swaps would not be noticed by anyone else than the players.
Steven wanted to answer but saw on Julie's face that she had found the answer herself.
"Okay, how about we gather some of our friends and play with them.", he suggested.
Julie looked at him even more shocked. "You WANT us to be transformed into freaks?!", she asked out loudly.
"It's not like anyone would notice. Also it might give us another perspective in life and it could get interesting. Just think of this as an adventure holiday.", explained Steven and soon Julie agreed with them. She was not completely comfortale with the idea of gathering different traits from different persons but at least these persons would be her friends.
"Then that is decided.". Steven put the cards back in the box, closed it and took it into his arms. "Then let's see who wants to play with us.", he smiled and left the room. The two voice swapped followed.
