Looking at his hand, he decided on a card and put it down. Revealed to the table was a yellow number 5. Seeing as how the game just started, Mark didn’t want to be swapped to majorly.
“I want to swap names.” Mark said. Nothing special happens when swapping personal info, but the swap was complete. He pulled out his driver’s license and read it over.
“I am now Mary Smith.” Mark said showing his license.
His mom held up her’s, “And I’m Mark Smith.”
Katie turned to Mary (Mark) with a confused look, “Why did you pick names?”
Mark didn’t react any differently when called by his new name. The game made it where you truly felt like it is your name. You still remember your old name and know that was your name, but you consider your new name yours. In addition to that, others will also remember your old name, but refer to you as your new one.
“I don’t know, I just didn’t want to change that much.” Mark shrugged.
“But you know you could of swapped occupations so you aren’t effected at all right?” Katie informed him.
Mark thought about it before responding, “... Darn. Oh well, it’s the small details that make the game interesting.”
“You’re right about that, I’m now married to someone named Mark.” Tom said putting down the next card. A red 3 was put down next.
What does Mary play?
(Note: Mark will be referred to Mary and vice versa only in dialogue.)
