"I'm not happy about it." you reply. "I like all of you but you aren't my sister and she isn't my mother."

Susan looks past you and says "Mom?"

You turn to see Joanne. She looks like she's ready to cry. She doesn't say anything, just turns and leaves.

"I think you upset her." Susan tells you.

"I didn't meant to." you say. "I didn't know she was there."

"Maybe you should go talk to her." Susan suggests.

1. Talk to Joanne

2. Leave Joanne alone
