Ela had always hated the name Rosy Circle because it sounded too sweet and girly for her taste. Many people had the misconception that they were gentle and weak and though they didn’t seek violence they could be violent and destructive as a hurricane. Those who harmed nature’s balance often found her fury was more of a match for her.
King Emeril had asked for the assistance from the Circle to deal with a group of trolls that had started to attack the lumber town of Evening Falls. Many druids would have laughed at the request but the town had always consulted with druids about responsible logging and replanting to allow them to flourish without losing the resource that had made their town prosperous. It was the duty of the druids to encourage others to become a partner with nature instead of an enemy of nature and helping Evening Falls would help a great deal.
The Grand Druid had requested Ela to assist the town because of her mastery of stealth strikes. Ela was invisible in the woods and her usage of druid magic for combat was deadly. It was unknown how many trolls or other threats there were, so having someone who could sneak in and take out whatever threat might exist was wonderful for the success of the mission.
Ela was thrilled at the chance for violence which was generally discouraged. Honestly, Ela had a blood thirst which many considered unhealthy, but her animal half was always looking for an opportunity to exercise its predatory instincts. The cat people were known for being great hunters and Ela was better than anyone and was thrilled at the chance to prove it.
