Marley University was an odd school, aside from the fact that it was far away from any town, and had a town surrounding the campus, which has everything a student would ever need. It was a private high school where all the students boarded, and usually reserved for the more well to do of the state it was in, but they also had scholarship programs and the school had a pretty good mix of students, aside from a surplus of males in the student body. That is where you come in.
You walked up to the gates of the school, with your bags in tow. You had gotten a full scholarship for the next three years at this school. You weren't that attached to the public high school, and since this school had the highest college acceptance rate, you jumped at the opportunity. Your parents couldn't make the trip up, but that's cause of how far it was civilization. You walked through the gates and up to the main building in the middle of campus. You went to the main office and knocked on the door.
"Come." a voice from behind the door said.
You walked in and saw a pretty fancy office. It was nothing like the one at the public school you went to the year before. You wondered if this was where the tuition money went when you were snapped out of your thoughts.
"Yes?" the woman at the desk asked.
"Oh, uh, I'm a new student. John Harper." you replied.
"Ah yes, we were expecting you. You'll be in the Onassis Wing of the Dormitory. Room 436." she said, handing you a key. "Your class schedule should already be in there."
"Cool." you said and walked out of the office and towards the dormitory. You struggled with your bags and dropped one on the floor. As you went to pick it up, a girl walked up to you.
"New arrival?" she asked.
"Yeah." you replied.
"I'm Natalie Chambers." she said.
"John Harper." you said.
"Need help with these?" she asked.
"Sure." you replied.
"What wing are you in?"
"Onassis. Room 436."
"Oh cool! That's the same wing as me, our rooms are close too!"
"They dorm the boys and girls that close to each other?"
"Yeah, they're not really a stickler for stuff like that."
You continued talking about the school until you got to your room. You opened the door and saw a pretty basic room. Bed in one corner, desk in another, closet and set of drawers, The walls were a pale red, that was almost pink, and your schedule was laid out on your bed.
Natalie walked over and picked it up, scanning it, before handing it to you.
"Cool! We're in the same English, Science and Gym classes!"
"That's good. I was hoping I'd have friends in some of my classes."
"Say, why don't I give you the grand tour of Marleyville when you're done settling in?"
"That sounds great!"
"See you then," she said, leaving the room.
You set up all of your stuff and lay down on your bed. This was going to be a good year, you could feel it.
