“Well, crap.” Isabel said as she jiggled to door to no avail. She saw a flyer explaining that the gym was “closed temporary for emergency renovations.” Apparently the 30 year old wiring finally gave out leaving the entire building in the dark. Come to think of it, Isabel could have taken a hint by how pitch black the complex was and saved her about 20 seconds of running to the door. To go without mentioning, this threw a wrench into her plans of exercising but she had bigger problems to deal with.
“God, I am freezing!” Isabel exclaimed. To get herself warmed up, Isabel decided to jog to the gym today. The weather didn’t seem too bad at first. Sure, it was cloudy but she could still see the sun and everyone else seemed fine with light coats and scarves. The conditions seemed relatively adequate to her until she spent the previous minute contemplating on her change of plans. The blistering cold hit her like a brick wall and she immediately wrapped her arms around her chest.
The hair on Isabel’s arms were standing on end and she could feel her nipples start to poke through her bra. She wanted to rush back home and change into more appropriate clothing but what was once a light jog from her apartment became a trek to the top of Mount Everest and back in her eyes.
