You looked into the concerned faces of your parents and the doctor, not sure how to respond. Finally you said "Of course I'll help Randall. I can stay with him as long as I need to. I can make it all work with school and stuff, don't worry."
You paused as a thought occurred to you. "But what about his parents? Won't they be around?"
Your mom and dad gave an uncomfortable look at each other. Dr. Saunders decided to step in to help. "I'm afraid that's part of the problem, Tim."
