Invigorated to hunt by his blubber-filled dreams, Sokka led them to their canoe, resting on the waterfront. They pushed the vessel, Sokka throwing his not-inconsiderable weight into it, until it entered the water with a small wave. Katara hopped in lightly, but Sokka went in one foot after the other, pinwheeling his arms as the far end tipped up and crashed down. Katara shot him a look, sweeping her hand across the water to settle it.
"Sokka, could you at least try to be careful?"
"Hey, not my fault I'm too much for this little canoe. It's just what being a warrior is about!"
"Alright, Chief, use that warrior's might to pick up an oar."
The siblings navigated through the icy waters, weaving between glacial chunks. The still atmosphere meant their only pastimes were watching for fish and continued bickering.
"I'm just saying girls have more, uh, active imaginations? That's not bad!"
"Even if you had a point, I did not "imagine" being poked by a spear!"
As the argument seethed, a nearby iceberg could be hear creaking and cracking as the boat drew closer to it, drifting without anyone to guide it. The ice split with a crash, shocking the two out of their debate. From the depths, a pale glow shone, rising toward the pair like a moon rising. The displaced water rushed over them, leaving them clinging to the wrecked canoe, to paddle over to the emergent, and strangely spherical iceberg.
