This choice: Mike decides to explore this reality further • Go Back... Curious to see just how extensive the fusion remote's reality changing capabilities were, Mike decided he would stay fused with Megan -- stay as Michaela -- for a bit longer and explore the new reality he found himself in. He could return things to normal any time he wanted, after all.
The first thing Mike thought to do was check his Facebook profile. He sat down at his computer, or rather what had once been Megan's computer and booted it up. Interestingly enough, his password was still the same as his own and for the most part everything was set up how his own computer had been, although there was a mix of his own and Megan's files. It was pretty surreal.
Mike soon navigated to his Facebook profile, or more accurately the Facebook profile of Michaela Hunter, the fusion of himself and his sister. Looking through everything, Mike learned quite a lot about the person he was in this new reality. It seemed his personality and interests were pretty much an even combination of his and Megan's. He was also now a sophomore, the grade between his own and his sister's. He still had all his old friends though, as well as some new ones from his new grade ... but he also had all of Megan's friends too. He was glad that Megan was currently single because he definitely didn't want to have a boyfriend.
"That would be weird," Mike said to himself.
When he was done looking through Facebook, Mike got up and began to wander around the house, leaving the remote behind in his new room. Looking through the family photos on display, in all the pictures that had included both himself and Megan, they had been replaced with just Michaela, and each of them had been replaced by Michaela in pictures only containing one of them. As a result, there was now way more photos of Michaela than there were of Mike and Megan's younger sister Alexis. Personally, Mike found that rather amusing.
Eventually, Mike found his way to the kitchen where his mom was getting dinner prepped. Was it that late already?
"Hey sweetie," Mike's mom greeted him, finding nothing off about his appearance. To her, he was just her eldest daughter, Michaela. "How was school?"
"Hi Mom," Mike replied. "School was fine."
"How about helping me with dinner while you're here?"
"Sure," Mike agreed. He wasn't exactly sure what to do, but found himself instinctively knowing what to do to help his Mom prep the meal. It seemed he had Megan's knowledge as Michaela, but since he was aware of the fusion with his sister he wasn't consciously aware of it.
Not much later, Mike was sitting down to dinner with his parents as well as his sister Alexis. Again, no one in his family saw anything out of the ordinary. This was all totally normal for them. It was just a regular old day.
After dinner, Mike helped clean up before heading back up to his room. He was fascinated by this new reality and still trying to process everything. It was a bit much and was thinking about maybe unfusing with his sister, but on the other hand, he was curious to keep exploring this new reality or maybe even seeing how things would change if he caused more fusions.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
