This choice: Mike decides to stay like this and go to school as Michaela tomorrow • Go Back... Deciding there was so much more to this reality that he had yet to experience, Mike decided to stay as Michaela for a while longer and go to school the next day. He could always return to normal at any time. With that decided, it was time to figure out what to do next. That's when something inside him told him he had homework to do. Normally, Mike was rather lazy and put his homework off to the last minute, but some part of Megan's personality was pushing him to do it now.
And so Mike sat down at what had until recently been Megan's desk and took a look at what work he had to do. It was all totally unfamiliar to him. All the material was for sophomore classes as he was one in this reality. Fortunately, he had access to lots of Megan's knowledge. As a junior, Megan had already taken these classes the year before and that knowledge was now part of his knowledge as Michaela. Being aware of the reality change was making things confusing, but Mike worked through it.
Eventually Mike completed all of Michaela's homework. By then, it was pretty late, so he decided to go to bed. Megan's bed was super comfortable, and Mike felt a bit jealous as he drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, Mike awoke feeling a bit confused. He was wondering why he was in Megan's room until he remembered the day before. He had found a remote that could fuse people together and he had fused himself with his older sister. "It wasn't a dream," Mike said with his new feminine voice.
Once he got his bearings again, Mike began to get ready for school. Due to being fused with his sister, he felt the strong urge to put makeup on, and he knew exactly how to do it. Once he was all ready, it was off to school!
School as Michaela, as it turned out, proved to be rather overwhelming for Mike. He was friends with all of his friends, all of Megan's friends, plus a bunch of people from his new grade. Michaela may have known them all, but for Mike, who was aware of what things were like before he had fused with Megan, it was hard to keep track of them. And because he was now a grade above them, Mike didn't even have class with his friends. He would have very much liked to be able to spend more time with Jon and Marisa.
On the flip side, classes were a breeze. Since he knew all that Megan knew, he knew all the material because she had taken all these classes the year before. That meant he really didn't need to pay attention. This particular aspect of being Michaela was like having the best of both worlds. He could be lazy and not pay attention in class and know all the material too!
That was one of the only good things about school in this reality. By the end of the day, Mike was feeling very drained. He hadn't even bothered using the remote, which he had brought to school, because navigating through a new reality after just one fusion was overwhelming enough. Maybe if he himself wasn't involved in the fusion he would be less overwhelmed by the changes. No matter, he was committed to exploring this reality until the end of the school day, which was finally here. As soon as he got home, he would be undoing the fusion. And once he did that, he would spend the weekend seeing what else he could do with the remote ... and he would leave himself out of the fusions for a while.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
