You had just completed your greatest achievement, your God formula. But, who would you give it to? You would give very careful consideration to who you would give total omnipotence to. The person who would drink your serum would become extremely powerful! He or she would command totally just about total authority over everything on earth and the universe!
You decide to give the serum to someone who is helpful, generous and compassionate. But, how would you find a person like that?
Then, like an answer to your prayer, there is a knock on the door.
You get up and open the door. There is a boy wearing glasses, a polo shirt and shorts along with sneakers. The boy is skinny and short and he has short, black hair.
“Hi… Umm… Mr. James? Remember me? I’m Simon Hawkin! You told me the other day about your computer problem?” the boy said nervously.
“Oh, yes! I’m so glad you remembered! Come on in!” you say, as you open the door for the boy. “My wireless internet hasn’t been working very well. Can you look at it?”
“Yes sir!” Simon said, as he walked into the living room, adjusting his glasses as he looked around the room.
“The computer is over here, Simon!” I said to the geeky boy, as I led him to the office.
As soon as I led him into the office, the boy’s eyes lit up and he got a big smile on his face.
“I’ll fix up your wireless network for you, Mr. James!” he grinned. “You’ll never have a problem with your wireless again!”
The boy sat down on my chair and he clicked the mouse. He opened several windows and he started changing some settings. Then, he opened the settings to my router, and he made some adjustments in there as well. Finally, he unplugged the modem, the router, and then he restarted the computer as well. Finally, he restarted everything and plugged everything back in. When the modem and the router reconnected, everything was running lightning fast!
“There, Mr. James! Working like new!” Simon said, as he stood up.
“Wow! Very good, Simon!” I said, as I looked at the screen and opened a site in the browser. Indeed, things were working much better.
I also noticed that I had a few more icons on my desktop.
“What are these icons over here?” I said, pointing at my desktop.
“Oh, I added a few utilities for you! You needed a few extra programs that could speed up your system so I downloaded them for free for you!” Simon grinned.
“Oh gosh, Simon! Thank you so very much! You’re so generous!” I said with a smile. This kid seemed very giving and generous indeed. He was also compassionate and helpful. He had all the traits of a great… God.
“Come over to the kitchen, Simon!” I said to him. “Would you like something to drink?”
“Uhh… I’m okay, Mr. James…” he said shyly.
“Well, I wanted to reward you for all your work,” I said, as I walked to the kitchen, with him walking behind me. I took two glasses out of the cupboard and I removed a pitcher of water out of the fridge. I poured a glass of water for myself. “So, you seem like a really smart kid! Do you have a girl friend?”
“Uhh… Not really… I’m kind of a nerd…” he sighed. “I play video games and I sit behind the computer a lot…”
“Ohh… Nothing wrong with that…” I replied. “What would you do if all your wishes and commands would come true all the time?”
“Gosh… That would be too cool!” Simon grinned. “I would help my friends… And I would shrink the guys who tease me a lot in school…”
“Do you get bullied a lot?”
“Uhh yeah… People consider me a huge nerd…” he sighed.
“Well, if you were omnipotent, would you still continue to help people?” I asked him.
“Of course!” Simon replied. “I have no reason NOT to!”
“Very good…” I said, as I got the pitcher containing the God Formula out of the fridge. I poured the entire contents in the glass and I gave it to him. All of it.
“Here. Drink this. All of it.” I ordered him. “I made that!”
“Is it juice?”
“Yes… It’s God Juice”
“What does it do?”
“It makes you omnipotent if you drink all of it!” I said.
He took the glass and slowly drank all of the orange-colored juice until he had finished every single drop.
“Ahhh…” he said, as he put the glass down. “That was delicious!”
For a moment, he just stared at me. He remained silent. Then, he looked around, before he stared at me again.
“Wow… I see everything… I hear everything… I feel everything… I know everything!” he said quietly.
He then extended his arms and pointed the palms of his hands facing each other. Then, sparks started coming from his fingers, like lightning coming from his fingertips!
“Whooaaa! This is SO COOL!” he grinned. “Thank you SO MUCH, Mr. James!”
The young God then turned and faced me with a smile. Then, he removed his glasses from his face. He didn’t need them anymore. His vision was better than 20/20 now!
“I don’t need these…” he said, as his glasses vanished from sight.
“Now, you had always wanted a spa, right, Mr. James?” he said to me.
The young God then stared over at my living room. Suddenly, a large spa appeared in the corner of my living room! The spa was large and beautiful!
“Thank you for the spa, Simon!” I said, staring at the spa in amazement.
“Well, you did give me my cool new powers!” Simon said. “So, I must leave now!”
“Please! Keep in touch!” I said to Simon.
“I will! Bye, Mr. James!” Simon said as he waved goodbye.
Then Simon vanished into thin air, as he teleported to his house which was across the street from my home.
Simon still got bullied by jocks and he was still in need of a girlfriend. His nerdy friends experienced the same troubles and they all needed girlfriends as well. So, Simon had some work to do, as the new geeky God…
