Wait it out

You walk into the kitchen to see your friend, now your babysitter, making food. You decide not to tell her about who you are, it would be too embarrassing. You create a fake smile and act as if you are really Jane. "Uhm, whatcha doing?" Your voice blurts. "Making food for all of us, then we will get you bathed and we'll go to bed! You cringe, you wonder what bathing will be like. A few minutes later you are at the table eating with your friend. You are quiet. Your friend looks at you and asks, "Is something wrong?"
