Your legs ache and your lungs burn as you desperately try to push your body beyond its limits, knowing all too well, that if you didn't, it meant certain death. The ground quakes with everyone of Lupa's footsteps. It is one of these miniature earthquakes that causes you to lose your balance, and stumble onto the ground. This was all Lupa Needed to catch up to you, plucking you from the floor by your shirt, holding you between her claws.
As she raises you higher and higher, getting ever closer to her maw, you know that this is the end. You desperately try to think of a way to escape, but you know it's hopeless. Lupa lifts you up over her head, and opens her mouth wide, blasting you with her horrid breath, which reeks of death. You can't help but stare down into her cavernous maw, surrounded by her sharp, pointy teeth, like stalagmites of ivory, and the black hole that was her throat, leading to her stomach, the final resting place of countless others before you.
Out of desperation, you are suddenly hit with an idea that could save your life. "WAIT!" You cry out. Miraculously, Luna closes her mouth and holds you in front of her giant, yellow eye. ""Have something to say? Make it quick."
"How often do you go out for humans?" You ask "Wouldn't you rather have them come to you? Spare me, and I''ll bring you someone to eat everyday." Lupa seems to consider you offer for a long moment, before finally saying "And if you miss so much as one day, I get to eat you instead?" You really didn't want to agree to that, but it was the only way Luna would let you live. You solemnly nod.
Lupa places you down on the floor. "Alright, you got a deal. Now go get me some breakfast." As you run back down the hall as fast as you can, you think about what you just did. You just agreed to Radeon another human's life in exchange for your own, everyday for life. Can you really live with this? Can you even do it?
