Dare to climb?

As you desperately look around for a place to hide, you heard a loud series of BANGS! followed by one loud one. You remain still for a moment, then slowly begin to walk towards the stairs to investigate the sound. As you turn the corner you see that Lupa had fallen down the stairs on her way to capture you, and she was now laying on the stairs with her head on the floor. Her eyes were closed, and her breath was steady, plus there was no blood, so she will live. Damn. Maybe it would be safer to go back to the apartment and bring Cadence with you to get the paper after all. But there was at least one problem with that, you couldn't climb the stairs. There weren't that many to reach the next floor, but each one would be like trying to scale a building. But as you look back, you see that Lupa's tail reached to the top step. You look back down and see that she was still unconscious, and that her head was sideways and could be climbed. If you worked up enough courage, you could quickly climb that mutt and get back home. But it would also be troublesome if she woke up, plus climbing near her mouth could end badly.
Another option was that you could wait for another monster to pass by, one that is nice enough to take you back up the stairs. But that would mean you would have to wait for someone while Lupa was recovering, meaning you would be trapped on this floor with a ticking time bomb. Which would be best?
