Dead Man's Hand

Lupa gives a slight growl. "Where is R.L.?" asks the giant man eating werewolf. "I need to speak to him." You at the time are on Cadence's shoulder but you don't trust the wolf. "No way," you say. "You'll just eat me." Lupa let out a growl. "I insist." She said. Cadence holds out her hand and you slide down her decayed arm before looking up at Lupa who looks more than a little mad. "Human by Night," said Lupa reading the title of the book. "Best seller. Of course, why am I the werewolf in this book?! You put Cadence up to this you crumb!" "Well it serves you right," you say. "You're the one who's always trying to nom me."
Lupa gives a growl but then she smiles smugly. "Speaking of which, I'm changing tactics." You blinked in confusion. "What was that?" you ask. Lupa then takes out what looks like a deck of cards. "I've been watching Shocker Tales. Ever heard of an episode called Dead Man's Hand?" You give a gulp. "That's the episode where a man plays cards with the grim reaper right?" Lupa nodded her head. "That's right. And just like in that episode, I've got a deal for you. We'll play a game of chance. Well, chance for you." Cadence blinks and bites her lip. "Here are the stakes," said Lupa. "You win, I don't try to eat you for a year. I don't think I need to tell you what happens should you lose." Lupa licks her fangs and you gulp at the werewolf.
"So, R.L.? Do you accept my challenge." Cadence moans and shakes her head to try and get you out of this and dissuade you from accepting Lupa's challenge, but you begin to think. Perhaps this isn't such a bad idea after all. If you literally play your cards right, Lupa will leave you alone. Of course, Lupa might cheat. But maybe you should.
"Tick, tock, tick, tock," says Lupa. "Do you accept, my little snack?"
