"... was prettier !"

Lucy smiled "Yep : respect could be a good thing to begin with. Don't want to always be the small goth girl of the school. I'm sure people would see me otherwise If I was beautiful!"

For a moment, there was nothing but silence, as Lucy calmed herself, focusing on the image she wanted in her head and how to perfectly describe it. Then, an almost deceptively quiet click as she pressed on the button of her new favorite toy.

"I am a truly beautiful gothic girl," She began, before the sparkling sound danced around her, almost as if something was circling her invisibly. A sharp gasp escaped her lips, as she could feel something happening to her. Not quite an itch, but something rather uncomfortable was rubbing against her skin.

Her eyes slid across the room, catching on the mirror, and the image within. Her skin was white. Not white as in Caucasian, but truly white. the color of stage makeup and freshly fallen snow, Her lips darkened to the color of spilt blood, and her eyes... They had changed. No longer any ordinary, boring color, both eyes seemed to almost glow from the streetlights reflecting off her silver irises.

There was something else... though, she wasn't quite sure what it was. Something that was different.

Ah... There it was. The room had changed, just slightly. The wallpaper was a shade deeper, old clothes were gone from the closet, replaced by dresses, skirts, petticoats, blouses and shirts.

Boots. Thigh-highs, platforms, low heels, high heels, Ballet Heels.

And the room was bigger. Nothing much, just slightly bigger. A couple of inches, maybe a foot at the most, no. Not quite a foot, perhaps eight inches bigger. Odd thing that.

Off in a corner of the room there was a stand, on it were parasols and umbrellas. Things to keep her pale, likely-to-burn skin away from the evil that was the sun.

Having finished scoping out the changes to her room, she turned back to the mirror, and blinked in surprise. More changes, none as extreme or encompassing as the changes to her room.

Her eyes were bigger, mouth a little smaller, nose changed just slightly. Higher cheekbones and a slightly thinner chin. It... changed how she looked, just slightly.

It was a little off-putting actually. The proportions were off, she realized after a moment. Now there was something about her that was... a feel, a look perhaps, that wasn't quite human. Yet it made her prettier as well.

She looked inhuman, yes, but almost... ethereal, almost fae-like.

After a few more moments of waiting, nothing changed.

So now she was far more beautiful, but what did that really mean for the rest of the school?

And should she keep on using the Dictaphone... or
