This choice: Lydia feels...hunger. Perhaps some pork..or steak...or dragon... • Go Back...Chapter #2Monstrous Hunger by: MadJack Lydia had never been a big eater, before. Living in such destitute conditions, she'd never had the luxury to indulge in such things. But now...all she felt was hunger. She'd never wanted anything more in her entire life than she wanted meat at that moment.
She rubbed her bare stomach, chuckling. "I suppose it's to be expected, with all these improvements to my body," she purred. "Very well. I'll have some dinner before the night's entertainment truly begins."
She left her tower, not bothering to dress; what do gods care of what mortals see? She didn't waste time checking her own meager larder for food; she already knew there wouldn't be nearly enough to fill her. No, tonight, she hunted big game.
The Blackfire Forest was so named because of the number of dragons that inhabited its many acres. These dragons, having lived near Widowwood for generations, had little problem in keeping in harmony with the people of the kingdom. For the most part, the two species ignored each other. The dragons knew not to enter the kingdom proper, save the occasional flight high overhead. The humans knew that the dragons would not initiate hostilities, and should someone accidentally stray too close to a dragon's lair, the beast would simply snarl and smoke for a bit to warn the careless person to change direction. Thus it had been, to the mutual benefit of both.
So one can imagine the confusion of the poor dragon currently snarling and billowing smoke, as Lydia calmly approached its burrow. The beast was confused enough to see a human female alone, this far from the kingdom, and nude to boot. Even beyond all that, there seemed to be something...off about her. Still, the dragon wasn't overly concerned. He was forty-feet long from teeth to tail tip, and if he had to get a little rough with this odd human, it wasn't a problem.
He lunged forward to force her away from his territory, and was shocked as she effortlessly leaped into the air to avoid his strike. Not just that, but she kept going up, rising thirty feet in a single jump. Before he could truly register how impossible that should have been, she was coming back down, landing on his side. And then, the pain began.
For Lydia, this was barely an exertion. After landing on the dumb animal's side, she allowed her nails to grow. Sprouting to a length that more properly qualified them as "talons", they were quickly put to work, slicing into the dragon's flesh, greedily shoving it towards her face. Her teeth elongated to become equal to the task, messily devouring the creature even as it began to react.
The dragon shot a hot river of flame at his assailant, who simply raised her hand, parting it harmlessly. Panicking, the dragon elongated its neck and twisted back, trying to catch her in its jaws. In response, Lydia turned her attention from its side to its throat, sinking her fangs into its jugular, and letting the warm blood wash over her. She laughed coldly as the life drained out of its eyes.
"Yes, yes," she purred. "You're nothing. Nothing! But a snack..."
And then she ate, allowing the great beast's blood to drip over her naked body as she devoured it alive. As she ate more and more, she could feel her body changing, growing taller with each added mouthful. Soon, she was ten feet tall, bathed in crimson, with little more than a red pulpy mess left at her feet.
Her red eyes blazed with sadistic madness, and she spoke a single word.
"More." indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
