Tails wiped the sweat off his forehead as he took a step back to look at his new invention. "It's finally done...my size changing machine." Tails smiled as pride over his new project took over. The machine was only slightly largely than himself, but it quite heavy so that no one could just take it from his lab.
The machine was built as a way to make his other inventions 'cheaper'. As long as he could build something small, he'll be able to use the machine to enlarge it to whatever it needed to be. Plus, it would give him some space to put his other projects that he's done in a tiny container.
Immediately, Tails wanted to put the machine in work. He walked over to a table and picked up a Chaos Emerald he found. He designed the machine to work only with a Chaos Emerald. As a back-up, he built 6 extra slots for the other emeralds into the machine.
His excitement made him put in the Chaos Emerald first before finding the object he wanted to experiment. Unfortunately for him, he didn't realize that the machine was already set on and began charging a blast. Tails looked around for the machine before he saw a green light emitting from behind him. He turned around and saw that it was new machine ready to fire. Tails ran as fast as he could to stop it, but it was too late; what's worse, he ran directly into its line of sight.
Tails saw this and waited for some type of reaction from the blast. Oddly enough, he didn't feel a thing. He knew, however, that his machine's effects would kick in at any second now...
