"So, how was school son? High school is a big deal, especially when you're a human thirteen year old in senior level classes at an anthropomorphic school." Dad says.
Thornton's look gets darker. "It was horrible. While the staff were nice to me, I got picked on and attacked verbally because of my humanity. I was almost drowned, dropped, and trampled in the halls. Thank goodness my armor was with me, I got out of those situations in a flash. Still, I don't like it there." Thornton says solemnly.
"We know kit, but all of the schools here are for anthros. Trill is only treated well because she is immune and she has animal traits. Thank goodness you grandpa was a lynx dear, otherwise our little girl would face the same fate as our young one." Mom sympathizes.
It's true. Trill may be fully human and immune, but she does have a rare human mutation that makes her appear to have animal like traits. Claws, slit eyes, sharp teeth, and heightened senses were the traits Trill gained from this. Unfortunately Thornton is human on the inside and out. However he does have his mom's cunning and his dad's strategical skills.
